After helping organise and attending many hens parties I decided to put together a blog post to give bridesmaids a few different activity ideas to consider when planning a hens party. Firstly, you might like to plan your day's schedule around 1-2 events that involve getting out and about such as; a wine tour (by bike or van), scavenger hunt, mini putt, frisbee golf or foot golf, a burlesque, pole or belly dancing lesson or bumper balls. Below are a few 'hen's party' specific fun activities that you can fill the rest of your day with.

Introduction by shared memory
Give everyone a piece of paper and get them to write no more than three words to sum up a memory that they share with the bride (the funnier the better!) Then put them all in a hat/container and get the bride to pick them out one by one guessing who wrote the memory and then introducing the person and explaining the story behind the words on the paper.
How well do you know the bride?
A fun game to see which hens party guest knows the bride best. Either print sheets in advance with the questions on or read out the following questions and have everyone answer on a piece of paper (you will need to make sure you have enough pens for all).
When is her birthday?
Where was she born?
What primary school did she go to?
What is her middle name?
What is her shoe size?
What is her favourite meal?
What is her favourite colour?
What was the first concert she went to?
What was her first email address?
What was her first job?
What was her first car?
How old was she when she met the groom?
Where / how did she meet the groom?
Where did her and the groom go on their first date?
What is her favourite thing about the groom?
How well do you know the groom?
This game is always a hens party favourite, it involves asking the groom a series of questions in advance (in secret), then on the day you put the bride in the hot seat, and she has to guest what the grooms answers were. You can make this as tame or risk-ay as you like (be mindful of the audience though as there may be mother-in-laws present). Below are a list of questions for inspiration;
When’s his birthday?
What colour are his eyes?
What size shoe is he?
What is his favourite outfit?
What is his favourite meal?
What’s his favourite song of all time?
What’s his favourite movie of all time?
Where was he born?
What primary school did he go to?
If he could be anyone in the world who would he be?
What was his first job?
What is his worst fear?
What would his ideal holiday involve?
Who is his celebrity crush?
Who made the first move?
How many children does he want?
What was his favourite date you’ve been on?
What is his most annoying habit?
What does he think your most annoying habit is?
What are you most likely to argue about?
Who gets the last word in an argument?
What was his first impression of you?
What is his favourite body part of yours?
How did you first meet?
Where is the riskiest / wildest place you’ve ever had sex?
Where did you have your first kiss?
What is his favourite sex position?
[Bride’s name] themed scavenger hunt
This is a fun activity to fill in an hour or so, it involves putting the group into teams, they will need a smart phone to take photo evidence of each of the challenges. They get a point for each challenge ticked off (you can either limit it to a point per challenge or you can allow numerous points per each challenge completed). Drop everyone off in a central location nearby a number of stores or spots where they can complete their challenges. Below are a few challenge ideas and of course you can come up with your own too!
Take a picture with someone with the same first name as the bride (make sure they show their name badge or license as proof)
Take a picture with a car the same as the bride drives
Take a picture of a team member shotting the brides favourite shot
Take a picture of the team outside the brides favourite local restaurant
Take a picture of a team member wearing... (something to do with the bride or groom e.g. sport, occupation)
Video the whole group signing in public with at least one stranger (choose a relevant song – e.g. one of the brides faves, if you’re happy and you know it or girls just want to have fun)
Take a picture of the group doing a pyramid with at least one stranger
Bridal Party Dares
Throughout the day get the bride to complete as many dares as possible. Below are a few ideas to help get you started with your list;
Get at least 10 toots while standing on the kerb of a busy road
Get a photo with a policeman
Find the guy with the muscliest arms and get him to give you a piggy back
Take a photo of you on a motorbike
Get a hug from a bouncer
Find a guy who will let you put lipstick on him
Get 5x selfies with at least 5 different strangers
Get a kiss from 5 different guys
Use the men’s toilet
Get a stranger to buy you a drink
Get a guys business card
Kiss a bald man’s head
Exchange a piece of clothing with a stranger
Do a shot without using your hands

Forbidden Words
This is a fun one that keeps everyone on their toes, there are a few ways to play this game. Basically you choose 1 or 2 forbidden words for the day (e.g. it could be the grooms name or simply ‘wedding’) then every time someone says the word they have to have a drink (or other punishment of your choice). An alternative is that you could trim the brides dress every time she says the forbidden word/s.
Toilet paper wedding dress game
This is another classic hens party game whereby you split everyone into teams and give each team a few rolls of toilet paper, the teams have to create the best looking wedding dress/ outfit made from toilet paper.
Kiss the groom
Print out a large (larger than A3) full body photo of the groom (or a hunky celebrity), get each person to put red lipstick on, spin them around and then get them to try to kiss the picture on the lips, the closest person wins! ...Alternatively you can get a cartoon print out of a body, paste the grooms head or a celeb head on, and try to ‘pin the cartoon penis on the body’.
Bridal party charades
This is a good game to have in the back pocket in case you find yourself with spare time during the day. Below are a list of wedding related words (and you can add your own) which you can get someone to act out and everyone has to guess what it is;
Runaway bride, shotgun wedding, tying the knot, wedding crashers, over the threshold, bridezilla, love at first sight, till death do us part, ball and chain, tailored suit, first date, confetti, wedding planner, head table, guest book, stag do, white wedding, elope, seating arrangements, hens do, open bar, vicar, groom, garter, speech, aisle, toast, best man, first dance, maid of honour, champagne, wedding dress, bouquet, rings, chief bridesmaid, photographer, cake, honeymoon, wedding night, vows, celebrant, going to the chapel, my best friends wedding, 27 dresses, dance floor, flower girl, paige boy, happily ever after, registry office, my big fat Greek wedding, ring bearer, father of the bride, videographer, bachelor party, centrepeice, love, four weddings and a funeral, tossing the bouquet, veil, I do, always a bridesmaid never a bride, cutting the cake, something blue, getting hitched, kiss the bride, marriage license, groomsmen
...Don’t forget to choose an awesome dress up, it could be by colour or theme.. e.g. everyone wearing white, fluro, art deco, 60s, 70s, an occupation, schoolgirls or housewives, try to pick something fun and / or relevant so you’ll surely stand out.
